Job description:
Safety Supervisor on behalf of this well-established manufacturer. As the lead safety representative on-site, the Safety Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and managing the plants health and safety programs. This role requires a confident and hands-on safety professional with the ability to lead initiatives, deliver training, and ensure regulatory compliance across all departments. This is a full-time role based in Miami, Florida.
The successful candidate will also:
- Serve as the primary contact for all health and safety matters on-site, working closely with leadership to implement policies and procedures
- Monitor compliance with OSHA, state regulations, and corporate safety standards
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Lead incident investigations and develop preventative measures based on root cause analysis
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to reinforce PPE use and safe work practices
- Coordinate and deliver safety training, including new hire orientation and ongoing development
- Manage workers compensation claims and support return-to-work programs
- Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and documentation for internal and regulatory use
- Work with environmental personnel to conduct required testing and support inspections
- Participate in emergency preparedness planning and lead safety committee initiatives
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate is a confident and resourceful safety leader with strong communication skills in both English and Spanish, who thrives in an industrial setting and is committed to building a culture of accountability.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish, with strong verbal communication in both
- Proven safety leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and safety auditing practices
- Experience facilitating training and leading investigations
- OSHA 30 Certification or equivalent preferred
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to influence at all levels of the organization
- Proficient in safety documentation and use of management systems
- Flexible with work hours to meet operational and safety priorities
