Senior Civil Engineer NYCJob Title: Senior Civil EngineerLocation: Remote within NYS or Buffalo, Ithaca, Albany OfficeType: Full Time
Salary Range: $125,000 $160,000 (based on experience and NYC-specific expertise)
Key Notes: Immediate need for a senior-level civil engineer in NYC
1215+ years of experience required
Must have strong project management and technical design experience
Must have direct experience working with NYC agencies, permitting, and regulations
Project types: sites, streetscapes & roadways, utilities, stormwater & water resources, aviation, parks, and greenspaces
Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee design work for paving, roadway design, grading, drainage, stormwater management, utility design, site layout, erosion & sediment control
Prepare conceptual layouts, construction drawings, specifications, design calculations, reports, quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, SWPPPs, and stormwater calculations
Deliver high-quality work within budgets and timelines
Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, landscape architects, surveyors, and clients
Mentor junior designers and delegate tasks
Coordinate with NYC agencies, consultants, contractors, and clients
Conduct construction administration and site visits
Attend meetings with multidisciplinary teams and clients
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Landscape Architecture
NYS PE strongly preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, Civil3D or MicroStation
HydroCAD or similar stormwater modeling software preferred
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Deep familiarity with NYC permitting and construction methods
